Over 60 of menopausal women develop urinary incontinence, 15 percent develop anal incontinence and 11 percent undergo surgical repair of their prolapse problems. The Womens Pelvic Health & Continence Center is dedicated to the confidential evaluation, assessment and treatment of these common disorders. Many, but not all of these conditions, are related to pregnancy. 20 of women develop urinary incontinence after a single vaginal delivery and 5 develop it even with a Csection. Other risk factors include multiple births, age, genetics, race, hysterectomy, obesity and pelvic muscle weakness. Women of all ages can experience weakening of their pelvic support.
